Day 15!

I've decided to change one of my goals. #9 was: dishes done before bed. I LOVE having a clean sink in the morning. It truly makes me happy! What a dork! But I'm so into it, I don't think it needs to be a goal right now. (maybe I'll slip up and need to add it back in later) So, I've made an executive decision and changed goal #9 to....HAVE FUN!! I don't have enough fun dang it! I watched My Life in Ruins with the actress from My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding and it was sooo perfect for me right now. Everyday I need to have a little bit of fun. I want to laugh everyday. I wish I was a poet so I could express my feelings better. Hmm, let's see...the bubbling up of happiness in my chest, the smile that hurts and I just can't stop, tears of joy overflowing and the sense of oneness, the sharing of the Holy Spirit with my family. That's what I want to feel everyday.

Day 10

Yesterday I was apparently attacked by the carb monster. I waited too long to eat and proceeded to eat everything I wasn't supposed to have. I had 2 poptarts, a large piece of turtle pie, one roll and a cookie. It just about put me into a sugar coma! Blah, that was not smart. And on top of all that, I didn't wash the dishes before bed, I didn't exercise 60 minutes (only 30), only had 5 servings of fruits and vegetables and didn't stop eating at 9pm. Geez, when I mess up, I mess up BIG!
But, today I got up and made myself get on the treadmill and just start over. One day a week of mess ups is really not that bad. I won't let this completely derail me, it's only one day. Overall, I feel really good and I'm looking forward to the online support of other women doing this too. Come on January 11th!

Day 8- Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Before we opened presents, I hopped on the scale. Didn't lose any weight this week, but I didn't gain any either, and that's not bad for this time of the year. Before I got on the scale, I thought, "I feel good. Hmm, I should remember that if the scale doesn't do what I want it to do." And amazingly, it didn't bother me at all.

Day 7

Here's what I created today! When we eat this on Christmas, it is definitely going to count as one of my servings of fruit! he he

Day 6

Woke up tired (how is that possible?) and starving. I ate 2 eggs, toast, a clementine and a bowl of cereal. Since it would be hours before the teenagers woke up, I took to my bed, ate, drank decaf coffee and watched North and South. It was wonderful, but the downside is that I exercised 0 minutes today. I did the rest of the list, but I needed a break!

Day 5 Refrigerator

The kids were at the grandparents this morning, so I decided to do something fun- clean the refrigerator!! Woo Hoo!
My mom and dad are coming for the holidays on Friday, so that's what motivated me. Plus-I still had leftover turkey soup (from Thanksgiving) that she made me that I didn't want to get caught with!!

Day 4 Dinner with the cousins

We went over to see the grandparents and our cousins from out of town and my mom made macaroni and cheese! Oh my goodness, that was too good to pass up. I did manage to eat my 7 servings of fruit and veggies though.

Day 3

Thoughts from the treadmill
  1. I wonder when my bum will be smaller.
  2. What are those dents in my bum?
  3. I wish they had a medium-est loser, like biggest loser, but for 20-30 pounds.
  4. It's only been ONE MINUTE?!
  5. Wish I knew where my ipod is. I'm bored.
  6. I'm hot.
  7. Is that clock going BACKWARDS?!!
So, later on in the day, I took my doggies for a walk. Much better!

Day 2

Wow! Yesterday was exciting and definitely CHALLENGING! Eating 7 fruits and veggies was not easy. But here's the best thing about yesterday, but it happened this morning:

Waking up to no dirty dishes was pretty great! Sad, I know, but a big accomplishment for me.

To keep myself accountable, here's where I am starting:

Yikes, the heaviest I've ever been. But I'm also noticing that I need a pedicure!!

I'll weigh myself each Saturday and keep you posted!
